The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player has been well known for his three point shooting since he broke into the league in the 2009-2010 season. Curry has been the biggest part of the Golden State Warriors Dynasty in which they made five consecutive NBA Finals appearances from 2014-2019, in which the Warriors won three of those five appearances.
Curry is seventh all time in three point percentage at 43.1%. Out of the players in front of him on the list, only one other player has attempted close to 2,000 three pointers with Joe Harris attempting 1,991, Curry has attempted 6,903.
Many say that Steph Curry has forever changed the game of basketball, with more and more young basketball players wanting to be a “splash brother” and make three pointers with ease. Curry broke the mold of the NBA, showing a player does not have to be the tallest or the most athletic to be great. Being able to shoot from anywhere on the court with efficiency has opened up the game up to more people around the world and created a way for them to overcome taller or more athletic players.
As the NBA continues to evolve, we have seen more and more sharp shooting guards such as Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, and Trae Young who all have succeeded in bringing their team to the playoffs, and are some of the most recognized names in the NBA today.
26.3 PPG, 9.4 APG... Trae Young's full offensive arsenal has been on display as a scorer and playmaker!

Curry may have broken the record, yet he is still considerably young. The 33 year old looks to continue his dominance in the NBA, and has shown no signs of slowing down. With 26.9 points per game this year and leading the Warriors to a 23-5 record, it looks as if Curry will be in the running for his third Most Valuable Player Award and will continue to extend his record of most three pointers made, until we have a new best shooter of all time.
