The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs both won last Sunday, advancing both teams to Super Bowl LV. Tom Brady will be setting a new record as the first team to be playing in their home stadium for the Super Bowl. Brady will also be extending his own record to 10 Super Bowl appearances, and will be looking to extend his record of six Super Bowl wins on February 7th.
Yet just because Brady has experience does not mean this will be an easy win for the Buccaneers. The Kansas City Chiefs are reigning Super Bowl Champions and have one of the most talented quarterbacks ever in Patrick Mahomes. Brady and Mahomes have faced each other four times in their careers and both quarterbacks have two wins, with Mahomes taking the last two games in Week 14 of 2019 and Week 12 of 2020. They do have one playoff matchup in the 2018 AFC Championship where Tom Brady and the Patriots won in overtime against Mahomes and the Chiefs. In all of these games, neither team has won by more than a touchdown, proving that Super Bowl 55 is a must watch game.
MY PREDICTION- As a New England Patriots fan since the day I was born, I have always been taught to NEVER bet against Tom Brady, especially in the playoffs.
Even though this game will be close, I see Tom Brady winning against Mahomes and earning his seventh ring, and cementing his place as the greatest of all time. While many talk about Mahomes having Kelce, Hill, and Bell. Brady has some of the best offensive weapons in the league with Evans, Godwin, Brown, Miller, Fournette, and Jones and I do not see Andy Reid finding a way to stop this offense. I do see this game being close though and the final score being 30-27, with another famous game winning drive by Tom Brady.
